- Providing Food & Hope To Those In Need –

What a great day at the Port Townsend Airport!

There were over 30 plane landings that delivered over 5000 pounds of food for the Jefferson County Food Banks. It was an amazing day as thirty airplanes flew in. One after another throughout the day the planes with volunteer pilots delivering the food to be distributed out to the four Food Banks.

This was a trial run to explore what would be needed and how to be successful to deliver food in a time of disaster. It was an obvious success giving us the knowledge that we can continue to provide to the four Jefferson County Food Banks. It pays to be prepared!
